PSAT/NMSQT

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a test offered by the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The PSAT gives students practice for the SAT, and it allows juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition. All sophomores at South Putnam take the PSAT free of charge, and juniors may take the test for additional SAT practice and to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition. Interested juniors should contact the guidance office. The test is given at South Putnam in October of each year. This year's test date is Wednesday, October 29th.
