WorkKeys
WorkKeys is a series of tests offered by ACT, Inc. designed to assess students' levels of workplace readiness. At South Putnam, we offer WorkKeys testing to graduating seniors seeking to earn a technical honors diploma. Students must achieve qualifying scores in Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating Information in order to qualify for the technical honors diploma.
WorkKeys testing is usually done in the spring of a technical honors student's senior year, and it is administered on a computer at school during the school day. Students generally take all three tests (Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating Information) in one sitting, and each test may take up to 55 minutes to complete.
WorkKeys scores range from 3 to 7. Level 3 scores are the lowest, showing student knowledge of simple skills. Level 7 scores are the highest, indicating student mastery of complex skills. To qualify for the technical honors diploma, students must achieve the following scores:
Applied Mathematics - Level 6
Reading for Information - Level 6
Locating Information - Level 5
